چکیده
In this work, a medium Mn-Ni steel was treated through Quenching and Partitioning (Q&P) with partitioning temperature (PT) of 650 °C, which corresponded to the start austenite reverse transformation (ART) phenomenon. The influence quenching (QT) time (Pt) on stabilization mechanical properties investigated. A strong observed. Results were compared those obtained after Q&P treatment 400 °C temperature. cycle room high produced retained (RA) volume fraction exceptional strength–ductility balance. analysis stability revealed significant stress-induced transformation. Nevertheless, austenite, stable at stresses above yield stress, provided TRIP-assisted ductility. Bending, hole expansion post-stamping also evaluated for most promising conditions.

New Developments with C–Mn–Ni High Strength Steel Weld Metals — Part A. Microstructure
The relationship between alloying content, microstructure and properties has been studied for high strength steel weld metals with 7 to 9 wt. % nickel. Neural network modelling suggested that manganese reductions lead to large impact toughness increases and that nickel must be added in a controlled manner with respect to manganese in order toincrease impact toughness. Carbon additions were pred...
متن کاملSIGMA PHASE FORMATION IN A HEAT TREATED NI-50CR COATING APPLIED BY HVOF PROCESS ON A STAINLESS STEEL
Abstract: Two different coating microstructures of Ni-50Cr alloy were obtained on a stainless steel substrate by changing combustion characteristics of a high velocity oxy-fuel (HVOF) process and the size distribution of feed powder during coating process. Use of the finer feed powder and leaner fuel in oxygen/fuel ratio (i.e. using a ratio much less than stoichiometric ratio) led to formati...
متن کاملMagnetomechanical properties of a high-temperature Ni–Mn–Ga magnetic shape memory actuator material
A Ni–Mn–Ga single crystal with a phase transformation temperature above 350 K is investigated. The material demonstrates a magnetic field-induced strain (MFIS) of 7% at room temperature and of 4.2% at 350 K. The temperature dependence of the magnetic anisotropy and of the saturation magnetization has been studied in detail. At 350 K a maximum magnetic stress of 1.6 MPa and a twinning stress of ...
متن کاملHIGH TEMPERATURE TENSILE PROPERTIES OF NEW FE-CR-MN DEVELOPED STEEL
Nowadays, Ni-free austenitic stainless steels are being developed rapidly and high price of nickel is one of the most important motivations for this development. At present research a new FeCrMn steel was designed and produced based on Fe-Cr-Mn-C system. Comparative studies on microstructure and high temperature mechanical properties of new steel and AISI 316 steel were done. The results ...
متن کاملProduction and Characterization of Stainless Steel Based Fe-Cr-Ni-Mn-Si(-CO) Shape Memory Alloys
It is well known that the Fe based alloys can exhibit shape memory effect due to the y to E martensitic transformation. The effect may not be as striking as observed in the NiTi alloy but it might become attractive fkom the practical point of view. In this work, two compositions of Fe-Cr-Ni-Mn-Si(-Co) stainless steel based shape memory alloy, prepared by the VIM technique, will be presented. Th...
